About us
Dynamo Melbourne FC is a not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to provide an opportunity for the community members to practise football and enhance their health and wellbeing through organised sport.
Our Mission
To empower our community through inclusive sports and physical activities, encouraging physical and mental well-being, social connection, and a sense of belonging.
Our Vision
To be a leading force in Australian football, recognised for our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and excellence. We're building high-performing squads that compete at the highest level, while fostering an environment where players of every ability, background, and ambition can thrive.
Values
Kindness
DMFC upholds an environment of kindness and service. We treat others with respect, empathy and dignity. We encourage volunteering and helping the community through acts of service.
Inclusivity
At the core of our club, we acknowledge, embrace, and nurture diversity, irrespective of sexual preference, religion, age, racial background, or physical or mental ability.
Determination
DMFC sets high standards across all of its operations, not just on the pitch. As we grow, we consistently strive for excellence and embrace challenges that help us surpass our goals.
Ambition
Resilience, discipline, and commitment have provided the pathway to achieving our goals, both on the pitch and within the community.
Our history

"Forget ability. To achieve in life, you need something extra inside you, a dynamo that says 'I'm going somewhere.'"
— Sir Alex Ferguson
Founding
Dynamo Melbourne FC was founded in 2018 with that same belief: that something extra, shared by a group of people determined to go somewhere together.
DYNAMO
The name
Our name reflects more than just a football club. Like a dynamo, harnessing power from multiple working parts, Dynamo is made up of diverse players, cultures, and experiences, all contributing to a single, electrifying playing style.
It's a name that says exactly who we are: powered by community, driven by ambition.

Our commitment
Our club is focused on fostering inclusion and acceptance in the community, and bringing together people from all walks of life to be active, have fun and support each other both on and off the field.
Beyond the pitch, we host social events throughout the year for the wider community to get involved, connect, and be part of the club.
